Food + Snacks of Tokyo Disney

We know this post is a little late (try seven months too late) but we ate so much good food in Tokyo we thought it deserved it’s own blog post. The food at Tokyo Disney is plentiful, adorable, and delicious. If there’s something else Tokyo Disney excels in, it’s how cute the food is in both theming and packaging. We almost forgot about everything else the parks had to offer because we were too concerned with trying all the yummy treats. Our original plan was to review each item and talk about the good and bad, but we honestly loved almost all of it! Here are some pictures of our favorite things we ate (because if we didn’t take a picture of it…did we really even eat it?!).

TOKYO DISNEYLAND

Great American Waffle Co.

-Strawberry & Custard Sauce Waffle
-Mini Waffles

The Strawberry & Custard Waffle was delicious and there’s a viewing window to watch them being freshly made as you wait in line. The Mini Waffles were adorable (and perfect for photos), however, they were served cold and not very flavorful. We definitely recommend the big waffles as opposed to the Mini Waffles. Great American Waffle Co. will be the first stop on our next trip.

Pan Galactic Pizza Port

-Green Alien Dumplings
-Strawberry Mousse and Lemon Jelly
-Sparkling Drink with Jellies

Do we even need to talk about the Green Alien Dumplings? You all already know how much we LOVE them. But for those who don’t know about these little guys, this is one of the most popular snacks at Tokyo Disney…and for good reason! Each order comes with three dumplings, each one filled with a different flavor custard (one chocolate, one vanilla, and one strawberry). We both agreed that we liked the strawberry best but they are all amazing. They are cold and ice cream-esque with an interesting texture, which some may not like, but we are huge fans. You can also find them at DisneySea in Toyville, but they made their name in Tomorrowland in Disneyland.

The Strawberry Mousse was an Easter special and came with the cutest little Disney Easter souvenir cup. The Cast Members even give out bubble wrap with your order so you can get your souvenir cup home safely. This was one of the many mousse desserts being offered in the parks, and the ones we tried were all very similar in taste, so we recommend choosing one from the locations with your favorite souvenir cup design.

The Sparkling Drink with Jellies tasted like Sprite with small chewy gummies. We enjoyed it and thought it complemented our snacks well.

Huey, Dewey & Louie’s Good Time Cafe

-Chicken Pancake Sandwich
-Mickey Tapioca Drink Sour White

The Chicken Pancake Sandwich was another Easter special only at the parks for a limited time. This was such a fun meal because not only was the packaging adorable, but the pancake had “Usatama” characters on it. Really tasty too!

The Mickey Tapioca Drink was also very delicious and the little jellies were Mickey shaped!

Toontown food stand

-Pizza Spring Roll

The Pizza Spring Roll was a crispy spring roll filled with gooey cheese and pizza sauce. The perfect snack to take on the go while exploring Toontown.

TOKYO DISNEYSEA

Cafe Portofino

-Gelatoni Cup Sleeve and Coffee

We wanted coffee so why not get a Gelatoni cup sleeve while we were at it?! This cup sleeve can also be purchased at Cape Cod Cookoff.

Food stands in American Waterfront

-Pork Rice Roll
-Hot Dog
-StellaLou Strawberry Mousse with White Chocolate Decoration

OKAY YUM BRING ME BACK JUST FOR THE PORK RICE ROLL PLEASE. But without exaggeration, I could have eaten this the whole trip and I would have been happy. It is essentially white rice wrapped completely in bacon. We had done a lot of research on best foods/snacks in the parks before we visited and this was one thing we didn’t know existed. This is now at the top of our list for what to get again when we return.

Kevin got a hotdog in the American Waterfront and look how cool the ketchup/mustard packet was!

We also tried the StellaLou dessert and it didn’t disappoint. Plus, we got to take the cute little mug home with us!

Cape Cod Cook-off

-Chicken Burger Set
-Codfish Burger Set
-Happy Friends
-Duffy and ShellieMay cup sleeves
-Mickey Shaped Chicken Nuggets

We went to Cape Cod Cook-off mainly just because the entire place is Duffy themed, but the food ended up being good too so it was a win!

The Chicken Burger was pretty simple but tasty and Kevin described the Codfish Burger as fish and chips with a bun.

The Happy Friends dessert was just as delicious as it is cute. Duffy was chocolate flavored and ShellieMay was blueberry. We also ordered the Duffy and ShellieMay cup sleeves to go along with our Gelatoni one we got earlier in the day. Now we’re just waiting for a StellaLou sleeve to exist to complete our collection. Cape Cod Cook-off had so many menu items that came with souvenir cups/plates/cases, etc.

We got Mickey shaped chicken nuggets later on in the night as a quick snack but forgot to take pictures of them but they were good and the fact that they were shaped like Mickey made them all the much better.

Sultan’s Oasis in the Arabian Coast

-Chandu Spring Tail

This Spring Tail was a steamed bun filled with chicken and cheese curry. Normally this is called a Chandu Tail and is filled with creamy chicken, but we were here during the Easter special and this version was the only one available at this time.

We are so excited to visit again and eat more Alien Dumplings and Pork Rice Rolls and some favorites plus try some new foods we haven’t tried yet (we have our eye on you, Mike Wazowski Melon Bread). Each season has different special items added to the menus but we hope this gives you a little look into some of the most popular (and in our opinion, most delicious) food and snacks at the Tokyo Disney parks.
