Crystal Palace Breakfast

Kevin and I recently ate at The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom for breakfast. Crystal Palace had been at the top of my Disney “to do list” for a long while now.  When I was younger, eating here was a family tradition every trip because Piglet is one of my all time favorite characters and this is one of the few places to meet him in the parks.  My family always made sure to have a Crystal Palace reservation for us just so I could get a big hug from Piglet (Dad, if you’re reading this – I am very thankful). I hadn’t been in several years and Kevin has never been so we made a reservation for our two year anniversary – what better way to celebrate than with Mickey waffles and the Winnie and the Pooh gang?

Crystal Palace is an all-you-can-eat buffet style restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  We chose breakfast so we could get an early start to our park day.

Magic Kingdom didn’t open until 9am, but we were able to snatch an 8:35am reservation online a few weeks earlier.  Although the park wasn’t open yet, guests with breakfast reservations have early access to the parks.  We got to Magic Kingdom about 30 minutes before our reservation and were able to get some pictures on an (almost) empty Main Street USA before heading over to Crystal Palace.

When we got to Crystal Palace, we checked in with a hostess at the outside counter and within a few minutes our table was ready.

The hostess noticed our “Happily Ever After” anniversary buttons and when we got to our table, it was sprinkled with colorful Mickey confetti!Once we were seated at our table, our waiter came over to take our drink orders, tell us about the characters that would be joining us, and then told us to help ourselves to the buffet.  This was plate one of two for me.

Eeyore was the first character to come by.

Winnie the Pooh next.

As soon as Piglet was even in sight, I couldn’t contain my excitement.  Yes, I know I’m 26 years old, but there’s just something about Disney (and Piglet) that just gets me.

Tigger (Kevin’s favorite) took a little longer than the others to come to our table, but we were already done eating so we just enjoyed the atmosphere and sipped on lots of coffee until he reached our table.

On our way out, we took a look at the beautiful flower topiaries of the gang. eeyore and pooh topiary crystal palacetigger and piglet topiary

After our breakfast, we had the rest of our trip to look forward to!

We loved our experience at Crystal Palace.  They offered a variety of breakfast foods and the character interactions were great.  What more could you ask for?
