Cat Cafe MoCHA Harajyuku

MoCHA Harajyuku Cat Cafe

As we were leaving the Meiji Shrine, we spotted a Cat Cafe on the fourth floor of a tall building across the street.  We knew we had to go!  The inside was so beautiful and clean, the staff was extremely friendly, the cats were cuddly and friendly, the room was lined with windows with views of the city below, and the coffee and drinks were unlimited!

Upon entering, the staff showed us a menu with prices and rules.  We were then asked to remove our shoes and put on slippers (a tradition very common in Japan). We grabbed coffee from the drink machines and entered the room with the cats.

We added cat shaped stickers of our names and my family’s cats to the world map on the window.

We only spent about 30 minutes here, but could have easily stayed for several hours if we didn’t have anything planned for the rest of the day. I mean, coffee + cats + city views = perfect afternoon!
